NEW REQUIREMENT<\/h4>\n

Applicants Who Have Traveled to Turkey<\/strong><\/p>\n

If you have traveled to Turkey, you must provide your travel history for the past 5 years if applying in New York, or for the past 1 year if applying elsewhere.<\/p>\n

Chinese Consulate in Chicago<\/h4>\n

Applies to the following states: Indiana (IN), Illinois (IL), Iowa (IA), Kansas (KS), Michigan (MI), Minnesota (MN), Missouri (MO), Nebraska (NE), North Dakota (ND), South Dakota (SD),\u00a0Wisconsin (WI)<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Non-US passport permanent resident must supply a notarized copy of green card (both sides).<\/li>\n
  2. Non-US passport holder’s application may need much longer time to process.<\/li>\n
  3. If you had applied for Chinese visa on a different passport, please provide a photocopy of the last Chinese visa. If old visa is on expired passport, photocopy of old passport name page.<\/li>\n
  4. If you have a Chinese visa that is still valid, you are required to mail in your original old passport together with the current passport in order to apply for a new Chinese visa.<\/li>\n
  5. If you work for a religious, media, or press organization such as writer, photographer, editor; if you have checked “Yes” to questions 3.1 through 3.5 on the application form; if you are applying for Q1, S1, X1, or long term (over 180) Z visa; you are required to submit your application in person and be fingerprinted with possible interview at the Chinese Consulate. We can assist in picking up and mailing back your passport when visa is ready. Please call or email us for more information.<\/li>\n
  6. Applicants who are age 18 and under need to provide a photocopy of birth certificate and passport of both parents.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Chinese Consulate in Los Angeles<\/h4>\n

    Applies to the following states: Arizona (AZ), Colorado (CO), Southern California (CA), Hawai (HI), New Mexico (NM), Utah (UT),\u00a0Pacific Islands<\/p>\n

    1. Applicants applying for Tourist (L) visa must have hotel reservation. Invitation letters are not accepted as alternative. If you need assistance, please call or email us.<\/li>\n
    2. Copy of your driver’s license or state ID card is required for proof of residence. Underage applicants will need to submit both parents driver’s license or state ID instead.<\/li>\n

      Applies to the following states: Connecticut (CT), Maine (ME), Massachusetts (MA), New Hampshire (NH), New Jersey (NJ), New York (NY), Ohio (OH), Pennsylvania (PA), Rhode Island (RI), Vermont (VT)<\/p>\n

      1. If you had applied for Chinese visa on a different passport, please provide a photocopy of the Chinese visa and that passport name page. If that Chinese visa is still valid, you are required to provide that original old passport together with the new passport when you apply for a new China visa.<\/li>\n
      2. Applicants applying for S1 visa must be apply after the family member staying in China has obtained their qualified Chinese visa.<\/li>\n
      3. If you had applied for Chinese visa on a different passport, please provide a photocopy of the last Chinese visa. If old visa is on expired passport, photocopy of old passport name page.<\/li>\n
      4. If you have a Chinese visa that is still valid, you are required to mail in your original old passport together with the current passport in order to apply for a new Chinese visa.<\/li>\n
      5. Invitation letter must show current passport number.<\/li>\n
      6. Applicants who are age 18 and under need to provide a photocopy of birth certificate and passport of both parents.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

        Chinese Consulate in San Francisco<\/h4>\n

        Applies to the following states: Alaska (AK), Idaho (ID), Northern California (CA), Montana (MT), Nevada (NV), Oregon (OR), Washington (WA),\u00a0Wyoming (WY)<\/p>\n

        1. Copy of your driver’s license or state ID card is required for proof of residence. Underage applicants will need to submit both parents driver’s license or state ID instead.<\/li>\n

(DC), Alabama (AL), Arkansas (AR), Delaware (DE), Florida (FL), Georgia (GA), Kentucky (KY), Lousiana (LA), Maryland(MD), Mississippi (MS), North Carolina (NC), Oklahoma (OK), Puerto Rico (PR), South Carolina (SC), Tennessee (TN), Texas (TX), Virginia (VA), West Virginia (WV)<\/p>\n

          1. Applicants who are employed, self-employed, or attending college in the US will be required to fill out a job description form. Fill out the form by computer or print and fill out by hand. Please see: Job Description Form<\/a><\/li>\n
          2. Copy of your driver’s license, state ID card showing your home address is required. Under aged applicants can submit parent’s driver’s license instead, along with a copy of the birth certificate.<\/li>\n
          3. \u00a0Non-US passport permanent resident must supply a notarized photocopy of permanent residence card’s both sides. Applicants who are legally studying in the US need to provide a notarized copy I-20.<\/li>\n
          4. If you had applied for Chinese visa on a different passport, please provide a photocopy of the last Chinese visa. If old visa is on expired passport, photocopy of old passport name page.<\/li>\n
          5. If you have a Chinese visa that is still valid, you are required to mail in your original old passport together with the current passport in order to apply for a new Chinese visa.<\/li>\n
          6. For Tourist (L) visa, please highlight the following information on your flight itinerary: applicant’s name, arrival and departure flights with dates.<\/li>\n
          7. Applicants who are age 18 and under need to provide a photocopy of birth certificate and passport of both parents.<\/li>\n
          8. Chinese Embassy may request for employer letter on company letterhead. The letter should include your personal information, job title, job description, purpose to China and signed by a supervisor, HR department or high position. We will notify you immediately if such request is made.<\/li>\n
          9. For Business visa, you must provide an Employment Letter. Letter must be on the company letterhead with the company name, address and phone number. The letter must state the applicant’s employment with the company including job title and duties.
